in my efforts to expand the money making opportunities available to me, I have been trying to carve a place in several different online niches. I’ve done all the usual things, checking keywords, checking promotional content available, checking out the opposition to see if I can sell and earn the cash any better than they can. All the usual things I would do when I begin a new project to make money on the net.

But one thing always tends to set my efforts to be an online entrepeneur back a little, and that is I am always attracted to promoting two types of niche: the one everyone else is aiming to make big bucks from, or the one no one but me is interested in (not to purchase from anyway).

I cannot be the only one who struggles to find words (even crappy words) to write about some item which could well make a lot of money if promoted right, but which doesn’t interest me in the slightest. I am still at the stage where I want to make a living writing about things which interest me, or at least give me something concrete to write about.

This is where my latest get rich scheme is going to be difficult. I want to make money by writing about exercise and weight loss. I’ve already set up one blog for this and published some articles (by hand - I haven’t gotten around to buying any article submitters yet). It is already getting clicks (and email subscriptions for some reason) and it’s only two or three days old (thanks Griz -great articles), but I know I am really up against it if I want to earn a decent, well paid living in this niche.

There again, I am qualified to blog about this particular niche (and have the certificates to prove it). But that’s where the next problem comes in: I am finding it difficult to write without giving too much information away for free. I ramble on a little, mentioning the different keywords a few times, and hoping these will hit the right spot for the spiders, while boring my readers into clicking the links and making me some cash, but it’s hard going when you need to leave enough out to so that the reader will still feel they need to spend their money.

This type of thing is actually much easier to do in the adult money making niche, if you like writing, as I do,because most people have arrived at your blog to see the content you offer, and they know they will have to click on a link to get anything for free. The problem here, is to find not only the correct keywords, but to make them stimulating enough for the surfer to click on the links you are offering. This is a different approach. You don’t bore them into clicking; you stimulate them into wanting to buy the product you are selling.

Neither way is easy nor a perfect way to make money online. I guess I’m just a little too used to the other approach.

Now I know that many web entrepreneurs will tell you that the approach is the same; you need to go for the sale by stimulating the reader to buy the product, and this is true in many cases, but these particular blogs I am making are set up for adsense only, and that entails a whole different approach to earning some good solid cash.

Definitely more work for me to do before I get this right, but practice makes perfect, as they say…

Oh, the joys of making a living on the net!
