Making Money on the net with good tools and advice
As you may have guessed by now, I am not into buying ‘make money online’ and ‘SEO’ tools just because someone tells me they are the best thing since sliced bread. Even when people I admire for their straight talking recommend these tools, I am always hesitant. I know you need them to make your online marketing easier, but having begun with nothing and got quite a long way with nothing until I gave in and spent some money, I still weigh up the pros and cons of anything for quite a while before I make a move.
Nevertheless, I did buy one product recently, it’s the Link Luv Post Builder made by Frank, who writes Op Tempo.
And no, that isn’t an affiliate link. Frank is selling the Link Luv Post Builder directly, so there are no affiliates involved to take a cut and thus raise the price. And at $27 US (it cost me around 17 euros) this is an absolute gem! No kidding, even I with my stingy ways would have paid twice the price for this excellent money making tool.
What the Link Luv Post Builder does is provide you with content for your blog on days you just cannot think of (or be assed to think of) something to say. And it provides you with links to other blogs. Basically, you insert a keyword you want to use in your post, check a list of boxes to get the latest posts from relevant RSS feeds and press ’search for links’ (Frank explains this a lot better on his page). And you get a list of posts which use your keywords. If you find an article in list you want to use, you save the html and make your post around the snippet from the article.
By the way, this is not a scraping tool, although I guess unscrupulous people could use it that way. To produce a good content rich post you have to write your own content around the snippet. What this does is provide a link to the person’s blog from you and (possibly) a link back from them as a trackback.
If you do it right (and don’t scrape) everyone should be happy and if you use the tool correctly, it does give you some fresh ideas. I have been finding posts I like and can use to refer to as a point supporting what I am going to say. I have also found posts I disagree with and I actually find the latter to be best because they give me something to research for in order to say why.
So I am very happy with the Link Luv Post Builder and highly recommend it - especially for days when you really can think of nothing to say until you get a push from another blog post.
But today Frank made another post which gave me further ideas. It’s about Trends Blogging. Basically, you use Google Trends (or Yahoo or Lycos…) and look for the latest trends - what people are searching for now. I know this is news to no one much in itself, but when coupled with using Link Luv Post Builder it becomes quite interesting.
For example, I looked at Google Trends and, as I suspected, many searches were to do with American Idol, but a short way down the inside page of ‘hot trends’ were searches to ‘Imagine Lyrics’. It appears that loads of people are searching for the lyrics of John Lennon’s classic because American Idol winner, David Archuleta used it as one of the songs. So I put ‘Imagine Lyrics’ into the Link Luv Post Builder and got a whole host of blog posts with html ready for pasting into a blog. I know I could have found some of these posts just by following Google Trends, but it’s a darn site quicker doing it this way.
So on one of my other niche blogs, I now have a post about ‘Imagine Lyrics’ with a link back to the blog I found it on plus a discussion of the post. It seems way out of context for a make money online blog so I haven’t put it here, but it sure was useful on a day I could think of nothing more to add to that partular blog.
And you never know, that well keyworded post just might get searched…
I guess this hasn’t been much of a make money on the net post in terms of keywords I have used (and that adsense banner at the top will probably get quite confused), but it is worth it to post about something which is really good value for someone wanting to make a living on the net.
Thanks Frank!

Thanks for the review Zani.
Another thing that Link Luv Post Builder does is that you can add more feeds to it, you aren’t stuck with Google Blog Search and the news feeds I originally selected. So, if you wanted to add an eBay search or some other news feed, such as from a regional or national news source, to it you can easily do so.
@Frank
Hi Frank.
Yes there are so many things you can do with Link Luv Post Builder. I only scratched the surface in that post.
I’m busy adding RSS feeds at the moment, particularly Spanish ones as they will really help some of my niche blogs.
I don’t have many readers here, but I hope that those who read this post pop on over to your site and check out Link Luv Post Builder for themselves. It’s a great tool.
Thanks very much for stopping by.
